Disability commission creates new communication avenue

The recently formed Seattle Commission for People with disAbilities has created a listserv to foster communication between the public and commission members about news, events and issues regarding disability rights.

The 14-member commission was created in May 2010 to “promote the full participation of people with disabilities in all areas of economic, political, and community life in the City of Seattle,” according to a city of Seattle news release.

To subscribe to the list, send a message to Listserv@talk2.seattle.gov and type “SUBSCRIBE Seattle4all.” For additional questions email Felicia.yearwood@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-4537.

The Seattle Commission for People with disAbilities’ next meeting will be held from 4 to 5:45 p.m., March 17 at the Seattle Public Library – Northgate Branch.
