In the past decade, academic administrators have noticed an increase in the number of kids with autism going to college. In recent years, a larger number of children have been diagnosed with high-functioning autism, or Asperger’s syndrome. As a result, these children and their parents could access additional supports, if needed. With that generation aging out of high school, we can expect to see more people with autism in college.
